14 Festival Applications To Make 2018 Your Year

We all know the summer is prime time for performing, the sun is shining(-ish), the audience is kitted out with a beverage in their hands, whilst we all sing our favourite tunes to our heart's content. So, if you want to be the act who brings this musical joy to all, you best get your festival applications in! Here are some we’ve searched the internet for, in the hope it can give you a helping hand:

    Wide Days Showcase (Based in Edinburgh): 20th – 21st April

      There’s a number of criteria that you need to match in order to be successful in the application process, one of them being that you are an artist based in Edinburgh itself for this year's conference. Follow the link here to see the applications process and what you get in return as a performer. The deadline date is the 9th February!



        Liverpool Sound City: 5th – 6th May (NOT LONG LEFT)

          “Voted the UK’s best metropolitan festival and best festival emerging talent at the UK Festival Awards, Sound City is a 2-day extravaganza of incredible live music and arts, attended by 20,000 music lovers over 2 days with a 1-day music and digital industry conference running tandem to the event.” Find out more here.



            Live at Leeds: Saturday 5th May

              Based in numerous venues across Leeds throughout the day, it’s looking like a musical spectacular as the first wave announcements have already been released. Artists such as Circa Waves, Tom Walker and The Horrors alongside many more are set to perform. Find out here if you could be added to the line-up!


                Chester Live: 21st – 24th June

                  “The community based, multi-venue live music event aims to promote all forms of live music to the local community introducing people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds to local live acts and surrounding areas.” Apply here through Music Glue!


                   Isle of Wight Festival: 21st - 24th June

                  Isle of Wight Festival are supporting emerging talent by teaming up with HOT VOX to find a talented new artist to perform at this year's festival - find out more about the competition here!

                    Blisscamp (Blissfields): 5th – 8th July

                      This year the festival is changing slightly, changing its name for 2018 to Blisscamp. Based in Hampshire and originating from someone’s backyard, this festival is now a popular choice for festival-goers and a welcoming environment for all! You can apply to perform here.




                        Latitude: 12th – 15th July

                          Based in Suffolk, and host to thousands of festival goers every year, Latitude outline their requirements on the contact us page for enquiring to perform. This is not just for music acts, but any performances. They host a variety of acts that aim to engage and entertain their audiences. To apply to be apart of the line-up, apply here!




                            Kendal Calling Festival: 26th – 29th July

                              “Welcome to the fields of Kendal Calling, the multi-award winning UK festival in Lowther Deer Park!” Based in the beautiful Lake District, they've previously seen the likes of Stereophonics, Manic Street Preachers, Tinie Tempah & many more! You can apply here.



                                  Standon Calling: 26th – 29th July

                                    “Standon Calling is a boutique music festival set in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside. Celebrating its thirteenth year in 2018, the festival has come a long way since its birthday garden party beginnings.                                       Cambridge Folk Festival: 2nd – 5th August 2018

                                        'The long, star-studded list of incredibly talented musicians who played revellers through their weekend in the grounds of Cherry Hinton Hall only scratches the surface of what the event offers to festival-goers.' Evening Standard. You can apply here!



                                          Bestival: 2nd – 5th August

                                            Now based in Dorset, and growing each year, Bestival is a definite favourite of the nation. Whether that be due to its selection of acts, the fancy dress themes or the Bestival Parade that passes through, it’s quite a popular festival to be on the line up for.                                             Folk On The Dock Festival: 25th – 27th August
