Vic Firth 7A American Classic Wood Tip

Vic Firth American Classic® 7A Tear drop tip. Perfect for light jazz and combo. American Classic® Hickory Drumsticks The American Classic® line combines tradition and Vic Firth style. With bold designs for fuller sound, the Classics are turned from select hickory – a dense wood with little flex for a more pronounced sound. Hickory is also capable of withstanding a great deal of shock, making it highly durable. The wood tips are deeply back-cut for intensified cymbal response. The nylon tips are similar in size and shape to their wood counterparts, providing enhanced performance and a feel closer to their original wood tip models. Nylon tips are the most durable and brightest sounding on cymbals.

  • Diameter: .540"

Are you ready boys and girls? It’s Bell Percussions Rhyme Time! Stick be nimble, stick be quick, Vic Firth 7A’s will do the trick.

With a diameter of .540” (1.37cm), the 7A American Classic Hickory stick is the perfect tool for drummers looking for that lighter touch in their playing. No longer will you be the victim of “can the drummer play quieter?” Or my favourite, “can the drummer turn down please?” (Yes I have experienced those exact words before). Remember folks, as much as we love drums, we have to remember that the singer is the priority and whilst we like to think that everyone has turned up to watch us replicate John Bonham’s Moby Dick note for note, most people have come to sing along to that hella catchy chorus. So when you find yourself in a tiny venue and your Extreme 5B’s won’t cut it, it’ll make you look incredibly professional when you pull out some lighter sticks and say, “don’t worry guys, I got this, I came prepared.”

So there you go, always keep a pair of 7A’s in your stick bag. It’s always handy to have a plethora of tools at your disposal.

Happy drumming!
