Chalklin BS09 Birch Rosewood Xylophone MalletsInstruments with rosewood bars should, in general, be played with rosewood mallets. The use of glock mallets can damage the wood causing it to go out of tune and possibly cracking bars. We suggest the BS9 as being most popular for general playing, wheres for extra volume, e.g the Symphonies of Shostakovitch, the BS9L would be ideal.
