Evans Level 360° Series G1 Clear Standard Tom Pack (12", 13", 16")
Evans™ G1™ series features a single ply of 10mil film blending a bright tone, sustain and sensitivity. The head sets the standard for an open and expressive sound. Tuned low, it produces a cavernous rumble that emphasizes the natural sound of the shell.
A single-ply drumhead, while less durable than a two-ply head, will respond quickly at a wide range of dynamics and resonate freely. Level 360° Series The Level 360° series concept brings a modified design to Evans head offerings. These tweaks aim to ensure greater contact and balance between the head and drum, as well as greater tonal range.
The Blue Print:
- Steeper Collar: Ensures Balanced Contact with the critical bearing edge of your drum shell.
- Roll-Over Hoops: Provides Strength and Stability without diminishing performance.
- Greater Tonal Range: Wide tuning options resulting in higher Responsiveness and Resonance.
- Balanced Contact: 360° round for ease of tuning and enhanced quality of sound.
The Evans Level 360° Series is a revolutionary new drumhead technology that's staking a claim for the freedom of drummers everywhere. Freedom to spend more time playing not tuning, jamming not cramming, and expressing themselves with tonal range like never before. From here on out, Evans drumheads will be leading the charge across the board into a new era of innovation & superior performance all-around.
History of Evans:
Evans Drumheads has been in the music industry for more than 40 years, and those six words best describe the history and vision of the company. Decades ago, Evans was the pioneer of drumhead manufacturing and design. Today, we are the innovators. "The First". Most people don't realized that Evans invented the synthetic (or plastic, or polyester) drumhead in 1956. Chick Evans was the first person to use polyester film to form a drumhead, succeeding in creating a weatherproof head, and ultimately changing the drum world forever. Chick's accomplishment is clearly substantial in letters and documents on record, dating back to the 1950s. The plain truth is, Evans was the "The First".
