Magnus Lindberg is one of the most talented European composers of his generation and is particularly admired for his orchestral scores. His music is programmed by the world's leading conductors, performing organisations and festivals. Boundless energy, colour and a thrilling density of material are the hallmarks of his recent style, which defines a new classical modernism. Interpreters of his music include Avanti, Ensemble InterContemporain, London Sinfonietta, Philharmonia Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic and conductors Salonen, Saraste, Oramo, Knussen, Rattle, Dohnányi and Gilbert. Lindberg was the composer in residence with the New York Philharmonic 2009-12.
