Chalklin RI13MS Rich Tone Rattan Medium/Soft Vibraphone Mallets RICH-13MS-R. Formed with a larger rubber core than the standard Chalklin MS range and wrapped with colour coded hard wearing wool, these perfectly balanced mallets are designed to achieve a full rich-bodied tone and volume demanded by today's artists. Made in seven grades from hard to extra soft with additional general purpose. Rattan handle. Rich Tone mallets were designed in collaboration between Chalklin and Bell. At the time it was felt there was a requirement in the market for a different style of vibraphone mallet. The core of each Rich Tone mallet is 28mm ball with a thick sleeve wrapped around the mallet. The internal structure is then covered tightly with a wool wrapping. The result is a mallet that is rich in tone.
