The Motif XF has twice the amount of wave memory built in than the XS, including stunning new pianos, orchestral sounds and synth waveforms. The affordable Flash ROM expansions let you add up to 2GB of non-volatile memory - finally, your custom sounds will always be stored without having to reload each time. With the full 2GB installed along with the preset ROM and inbuilt RAM, there's nearly a potential 3GB(!) of Waveforms to make sounds from. Optional FireWire audio interface: Anyone who uses mLAN will know it's hugely powerful but also hugely complex. The new FW16e expansion for Motif XF takes the best multi-channel feature of mLAN but makes it peer-to-peer - resulting in a straightforward setup on Windows and OSX
