The Professional series pedal mechanism is a balanced action system, designed to balance the head tension against the spring mechanism located in the base of the timpani. The spring mechanism is easily adjusted using an easily accessible tension knob located on the base of the timpani. The entire tension mechanism is located outside the kettle, allowing maximum unobstructed tone quality. All Professional series Timpani have two wheels at the rear, each custom designed with a braking mechanism that prevents the wheel from not only turning but also from rotating.
