The Bamboo Log is a relatively simple percussion instrument consisting of a piece of Bamboo, around 10" in length and 2"-4" in diameter, that has 2 slits that are sawed down approximately 2 thirds of the way down the length. The Bamboo is struck with the hand at the end and the sound produced is a wooden crack with a slight whip sound. Can be either hand held or stand mounted.
