In the past, the best results have been produced using the box similar in size to that of a pet cage for a rabbit or small cat and cellophane no thicker .38mm. The player places his hands in the box and moves the cellophane in an anticlockwise direction producing a crackling sound, not dissimilar to that of a camp fire with damp kindling.
