Shime Daiko

This small Japanese drum features a full and bright sound, we have both rope and lug tension drums which are shaped in the traditional manner and can be tuned. The skin is quite taught so unlike our larger Taiko drums it is higher in pitch. Shime-daiko are used in various Japanese music ensembles.
