Wine Glasses for Hire

Wine glasses have been used as a percussion instrument for many years. A particular champion of this instrument was Percy Grainger who used the effect in works including "Tribute to Foster". To obtain the effect, the glasses are filled with varying amounts of water thus producing specific notes. The lip of the glass is then bowed or rubbed with a soggy finger to achieve a note.
