Wooden Clapper for Hire

The Wooden Clapper is essentially 2 slapsticks stuck together. This enables the player to produce much faster trill like patterns than a regular slapstick or whip.

This instrument was created for a piece composed by Thomas Ades called Totentanz. The piece features a brilliant selection of percussion including tuned anvils, steel sheets, wooden slide whistles, and our 60" Taiko.
