Sandpaper Blocks for Hire
Blocks with sandpaper or emery paper wrapped around have been around as a percussion effect for many years. The volume of the distinct rasping sound created can vary by the gauge or the grade of the sandpaper. Although not found as regularly as previous years, the composer Adams has recently composed heavily for sandpaper blocks in his piece Chairman Dances. Not be confused with the piece Mark Zuckerberg does the Tango.
