The Nagara or Naghara is a northern Indian bass drum, made of iron with a buffalo skin head. There are several types of naghara, which is used as the most significant instrument in folk ceremonies and weddings. There are various sizes and varying names such as boyuk nagara, cura nagara, chiling naghara, Qultuq nagara and gosha naghara.
