Lagerphone for Hire
A relatively simple percussion instrument, the Lagerphone is a variation of the more commonly used Jingling Johnny. This instrument has been described as: "A triumph of recycling technology and percussive versatility, this instrument is constructed from a number of lager bottle tops nailed to a broomstick handle, and when hit, makes a sound not unlike a number of lager bottle tops nailed to a broom handle." Various playing techniques have been developed, including shaking, rattling, rolling, banging and tapping and Lagerphone virtuosos have been known to employ the Moeller technique to their playing.
