One Octave Bass Marimba C2-C#3 for Hire
Based on feedback from some of the UK’s top session players, there is demand for such an instrument for players who use a standard 5 octave Marimba but find that they often only use the bottom octave. This solution came about as a portable, space saving and cost effective instrument designed to showcase the beautiful sound of the bottom octave of a marimba without the extra 4 octaves getting in the way. This Marimba is designed around an existing Adams 5 octave frame, using the existing end pieces (that have been specially adapted and strengthened), resonators and notes. Special note supports have been constructed along with note cord to give this instrument a range of C2-C#3. Can also be used as an extension for a 4.3 octave Marimba.
