This instrument is usually played mounted on a stand.
This bell can be used either singularly or as a group. The sound produced by a group is significantly better and produces more tone than a single bell. Only a few composers have composed for this creation and due to the size of each bell, the ensemble should be pianissimo when the bell (s) are played. To avoid scratching, great care must be taken removing and replacing from the host.
